About Joe
For Joe, the power of the image is found in the composition and lighting. It’s a way of seeing that elicits an emotional response. Joe is a passionate local photographer and lighting cameraman who graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with a degree in Motion Picture Photography.
In the early years, Joe went to work in Hollywood and worked as a cameraman on commercials, movies, music videos, and television productions. Joe learned his craft by working alongside Academy Award winning cinematographers and as an award winning freelance lighting cameraman specializing in advertising, corporate and industrial video production.
Joe has now turned his eye on the story of Santa Barbara. Creating iconic Santa Barbara images composed and captured, at the decisive moment when the perfect balance of radiant light shows the movement, color, shadow and magic of the scene.
